Władysław Witalisz – kierownik Zakładu Historii Literatury i Kultury Brytyjskiej, literaturoznawca, mediewista; prowadzi zajęcia z historii literatury angielskiej i teatru szekspirowskiego; jego zainteresowania badawcze to dramat i teatr średniowieczny, romans rycerski i jego polityczne znaczenia, obraz wojny trojańskiej w średniowieczu, średniowieczna literatura religijna, angielska mistyka średniowieczna, recepcja Boecjusza w literaturze, William Shakespeare, mediewalizm w literaturze współczesnej.
